The BuTTerfly effect commissioned for the entrance to the new american consulate compound in guadalajara, mexico.
The Butterfly Effect is a 20ft diameter 5-ton mirror-polished stainless steel sculpture commissioned for the entrance to the new American Consulate compound in Guadalajara, Mexico.
The Butterfly Effect draws inspiration from the theories of mathematician and meteorologist Edward Lorenzo, illustrating how the smallest occurrence can influence much larger and more complex systems.
The Monarch butterfly, native to the USA, migrates to Guadalajara annually. The placement of this sculpture symbolizes the movement and interactions between the two countries and intends to cultivate our connection with the natural environment.
